Manuel was a sailing instructor for optimists and sunfish in Margarita Island, Venezuela. He began working on Wild Card in 2018 as the chef and later as the first mate. He helped do an overhaul of the Wild Card during Covid together with the owner. He has been the captain of Sovereign Grace since March 2024 (the sister boat of Wild Card). He is always up for a good joke and cannot live without music.
