Andre was born in Colombia and started sailing at the age of 18 when he joined the Colombian Navy. He trained as an Engineering Officer and competed in Brazil and Mexico as a member of the National Sailing Team.
Andre also owns the Sophia and works hard to maintain and improve the boat and in his downtime, he enjoys cooking and traveling. Exploring new places and learning new cultures satisfies the Engineer in his blood and makes him a knowledgeable and entertaining Captain.
