The windy season runs from mid-December to April during which time strong winds are common, usually making it a great time to set sail! Outside of the windy season, winds can get quite quiet which can make it difficult to sail. It is important for captains to sail on schedule, which means there are times when they are forced to rely on the motor when the winds aren’t complying in order to do so. While the captains prefer sailing, safety, and comfort are our top priorities for both the passengers and the boat. If sailing is important to you, we recommend booking a smaller fiberglass monohull during the windy season.

It depends on the time of year! May to November tends to be the calmest time of year to sail between Panama and Colombia. You might intermittently get brief rain showers, but it usually clears up within a couple of hours or so. December through April is the windy season which usually provides excellent conditions for a sailing adventure! The tropical climate of the Carribean San Blas makes it an excellent place to travel year round!

Anything is possible! Explore paradise, play volleyball, soccer, snorkel, kayak, take a dip in the turquoise water, meet the locals, buy souvenirs, relax or party it up at a bonfire with music on the islands. The possibilities are endless!

Yes! Three meals a day, water, coffee, & tea are all included in the price of the trip, but we always encourage passengers to bring their own snacks, beverages, and alcohol as well. Coolers will be provided for you to store and chill any beverages you bring.

All our boats can accommodate vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, and gluten free diets. There is a $25 fee for all special diets of that fee, $10 is to purchase the ingredients, and $15 is for the cook for the extra effort.

You may need a visa depending on the country of origin of your passport. We recommend asking your embassy if you are unsure. Previously the yellow fever vaccine was only required upon arrival to Panama or Colombia if you had been to Brazil in the past six months but recently this rule was retracted.

All our boats can accept surfboards and bicycles, but they do charge a fee to bring them onboard. There may also be additional costs to transport them to and from Panama City. Make sure to let us know before booking so we can organize accordingly!

It depends on the boat! Only boats that arrive to or depart from Puerto Lindo, Panama can take pets. If you are interested in taking your pet with you, let us know beforehand and we can ask the captain!

Seasickness can happen for some during the navigation; it is important to be prepared! We recommend bringing seasickness tablets such as Dramamine or Mareol or taking ginger as a natural remedy. Booking larger vessels or catamarans (when the waters are calm) can help. Also booking a berth at the back of the boat can help to prevent seasickness during your adventure.

We generally recommend booking sooner rather than later, especially if you have a specific boat, date, cabin, etc. in mind. You can also periodically check with us via email or WhatsApp or use the calendar on our website for spots left available as we keep it constantly updated!

It depends! We have a fleet of around 20 different boats that range in capacity from as little as 8 passengers to as many as 20.

Yes! All of our boats are equipped with charging stations where you will be able to charge small electronics such as phones, kindles, iPods etc.

All of our boats arrive in the colorful Caribbean city of Cartagena in the marina of Manga. This is only around a 5-minute taxi ride to the heart of the city so no long bus rides for you!

Our boats will depart either from Porvenir or Puerto Lindo, Panama.

We offer five-night trips that usually cost between 695 and 780 usd per person, but this depends on the boat as well as cabin preference and seasonality.

Pack light and get ready to live in your swimsuit! Bring comfortable, breathable clothing like shorts, sarongs, and an extra swimsuit (or at least an extra bottom). We recommend not spending the day in wet clothes, so it’s a good idea to leave a dry change or towel on deck before diving in. Also, bring a long-sleeve shirt or top to protect yourself from the sun, along with a hat and sunglasses.
