Daniel was born in Colombia. He is a marine biologist with a master’s degree and more than 11 years of experience working at sea. He began his ocean career doing boat deliveries from Florida to various parts of the Caribbean and also worked as an assistant in marine electrical systems.

He has crossed the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans several times and has sailed through the Mediterranean and French Polynesia. For the past seven years, he has been working in the Caribbean, splitting his time between his career as a marine biologist and his role as a captain. The ocean is his home, and every route is a new story.
